After finishing at Brighton University Matthew Lambert worked for several firms including Clark Shoes International. However after returning from travelling, Pareto Law helped Matthew finally find his feet at Telinet, a leading Communications Consultancy. Five years on and a number of promotions later, Matthew is now the sales and marketing director at the company.

Have a break

Matthew's main aim had always been to be involved in marketing. After university, he worked in a variety of graduate schemes including TNT logistics and Business Post. Matthew then went travelling for two years and came home to reassess his career options.

Pareto Law advert

Days after Matthew returned from travelling he stumbled across a Pareto Law advert in the Evening Standard. After phoning and passing the initial telephone interview, the 27 year old was invited to an assessment day at the Chiswick offices.
 
There Matthew stood out from the other candidates and a week later, he was placed at Telinet. Over the last five years he has been a valuable contributor to the company's continued success.

From Sales to Marketing

"I had always wanted a career in marketing but it soon became apparent that I would have to take a pay-cut, which was just something I wasn't prepared to sacrifice. However I enjoyed the buzz of the sales environment. Although I initially hoped that eventually I would be able to transfer over to marketing role, I now have the best of both worlds.
